Welcome to Blossoming Souls
I want to take this note to share the history of how Blossoming Souls came about and what it stands for. This practice didn’t come from a business plan or a branding brainstorm. It came from seasons of my life where everything was being cracked open…the practice was literally born from my lived experience.
When I began building Blossoming Souls, I was in the midst of my own deep work. I was sitting with my trauma, my unhealthy patterns, my defenses and my tenderness. And before I go any further, please know, I am still in it. Every. Single. Day. Because what does “healed” even mean anyways?! It ain't no finish line! It is truly a relationship with oneself, one that keeps evolving.
But anyways, during the process, I started to hear myself, truly hear myself. I began to feel moments of safety inside my own body, sometimes small, sometimes fleeting, but very real. I began to trust my inner world, my spirit, my body and my soul instead of bracing against it.
That experience changed me as a therapist.
It made me realize that the work I was doing internally, the slowing down, the nervous system tending, the deep listening, the making meaning of my experiences and the spiritual reflection, was exactly the kind of work I wanted to do with clients.
Blossoming Souls grew out of my own clarity and out of my own integration.
Why “Blossoming Souls”?
The name came from something I see again and again in my work: beneath every coping strategy, every survival pattern, every protective layer, there is a self that is still growing, reaching, and still very capable of embodying the authentic and true versions of themselves. I remember the moment I was doing my hair before work one morning reminiscing on this name that had come to me one day in a recent meditation, and it was this ironic moment where I realized, I am the blossoming soul.
We all carry seeds of who we’re meant to be, even when life has buried them under fear, trauma, or exhaustion. Blossoming Souls is about tending those seeds. It’s about honoring the parts of us that are emerging, even if they feel small, fragile, or nonexistent.
Blossoming Souls is a holistic psychotherapy and spiritual practice, rooted in trauma‑informed care, contemplative wisdom, and the belief that “healing” is both psychological and spiritual. I work with people who are navigating transitions, untangling old patterns, exploring their inner landscape, or simply longing for a life that feels more aligned with who they truly are.
A different kind of therapy space
It's quite common for a potential client to tell me, they just want fixed. I gently but honestly tell them that this practice isn’t about “fixing.” I tell them, it is about helping you understand the complex layers of your experiences, your nervous system responses, your conditioning, your wounds, your intuition and your soul. I then may say, I help support you as you reconnect with parts of yourself that have been waiting to be seen and/or heard.
I once thought: How can I build a practice that honors all of this?
Let’s backtrack real quick. I didn’t know how to build a therapy practice that could ethically hold everything I named above. For a while, I thought I would have to add coaching and split myself into two. “Clinical therapist” over here, and “woo woo” coach over there.
Was there even space in the therapy world for the kind of integrative, soulful, nervous‑system‑honoring work I wanted to do?
I wasn’t going to bypass ethics and I wasn’t going to step outside of my scope of practice. Then I was introduced to Tina of The Black Sheep Therapist™, who gave me the space, guidance, and challenge I needed to build something that felt both clinically solid and soulfully true.
Introducing RIPT
Through that process, I created my own clinical framework: Regulated Intuitive Processing Therapy™ (RIPT). RIPT weaves together trauma‑informed psychotherapy, somatic regulation, intuitive listening, depth psychology, and contemplative meaning‑making. It’s the backbone of Blossoming Souls.
(More on RIPT soon, I’ll be sharing a full breakdown in another note).
What I want to share for the sake of this note is that RIPT, my clinical framework includes approaches such as: Breathwork, Intuition, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, EMDR, Energy Attunement, Reiki, Therapeutic Yoga and Polyvagal Applications (aka “nervous system education).
The heart of this work
Blossoming Souls is a practice for people who want to understand themselves not just mentally, but emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. People who want to feel more alive, more connected, more grounded in their soul.
A space to unfold
Whether you’re “healing” trauma, navigating a transition, exploring your consciousness, or simply longing for a deeper relationship with yourself, Blossoming Souls may be a place to soften, to explore, and to grow.
Please know: Your soul is always blossoming. My role is to walk with you as you discover what’s growing within you.
